Dekton is produced in Spain by Cosentino using a process that subjects mineral particles to extremely high pressure and temperature, resulting in an unusually dense, low-porosity surface.
The practical consequence is durability: strong resistance to heat, scratching, staining and UV fading, which makes it viable in places engineered stone struggles — including outdoor kitchens and façades.
In bathrooms it is specified for vanity tops, shower walls and continuous surfaces where a single material needs to handle water, heat and daily wear without visible consequence.
